Background

Philippine culture, every occasion calls for a celebration. There’s always a reason to celebrate, eat, and drink in the Philippines- be it a birthday, the arrival of a distant relative, the departure of another, a spirited debate over nothing, to honor a patron saint, a baptism affair, a family reunion during the holidays or simply over daily family meals. For every celebration, FOOD is a must.

Gold Ribbon Bakeshop & Restaurant opened on January 21, 1985 on 380 South Main Street, Milpitas, CA 95035, at a time Milpitas was ready for a Filipino cuisine specialty restaurant. The restaurant is spacious and clean. The food is home-made cooking.

At Gold Ribbon Bakeshop & Restaurant, the cooking is Kapampangan, naturally the cooking techniques are Kampangan like in SISIG. When you tell people you are a Kapampangan, the common reply is, “O, you must be a good cook!”

You can take Filipinos away from the Philippines, but you can never take away the Philippines away from Filipinos, At Gold Ribbon Bakeshop & Restaurant the food will make you feel you are home away from home. Every dish is cooked with love, just like Mama’s cooking.
